1.     By subscribing to the VivlioSyn program, you will gain access to a curated selection of book titles, enjoy doorstep delivery of books, and participate in mentoring sessions tailored to each book.

        2.     Mentoring sessions are conducted in small groups, typically consisting of no more than four children.

        3.     The choice of book titles is determined by VivlioSyn mentors, who assess the children's reading proficiency levels. VivlioSyn offers a diverse range of books suitable for children aged 6-15. While suggestions for new titles are welcome, their inclusion is not guaranteed due to the rigorous selection process.

        4.     The schedule for mentoring sessions, including the day of the week and time, is finalized in consultation with the Subscriber. Unless notified by the mentor, the schedule remains unchanged for the subscription period.

        5.     VivlioSyn will try its best to accommodate requests for changes to schedule but such changes will be dependent on availability of mentors and acceptance by other children in the group

        6.     Books will be physically delivered to the Registered Address that has been provided by the Subscriber. VivlioSyn will try its best to accommodate temporary changes in delivery address but given the high lead times and the complex logistics involved, these changes cannot be guaranteed.

        7.     Books are sent to the Subscriber on a lending basis and will need to be returned to Vivliosyn by the Subscriber. 

        8.     Subscribers are responsible for returning books in good condition. Damages will be assessed by VivlioSyn's logistics team, and Subscribers will be liable for any damages.

        9.     Failure to return books following a pickup request may result in VivlioSyn withholding further deliveries, charging the cost of the books to the Subscriber, or adjusting the cost against the pending subscription fee.

        10.  VivlioSyn will arrange for pickup of books with prior intimation to the Subscriber. The pickup will happen from the Subscriber’s Registered Address and the cost of the pickup will be borne by VivlioSyn. Subscriber will be required to only pack the books, print and affix a label provided by VivlioSyn, and keep ready for pickup at the scheduled time for the appointed delivery agent. 

        11.  Policy on Breaks

a       Planned Breaks

i        VivlioSyn will strive to accommodate scheduled breaks related to examinations, school events, family functions and holidays / travel.  Subscribers must notify their Mentor at least ten days in advance for weekly sessions and eighteen days in advance for fortnightly sessions regarding any planned breaks.

ii       To help ensure continuity while allowing for flexibility, a single break period cannot exceed a continuous period of one month.

iii     If a break exceeds a duration of two weeks, rejoining the same group and timeslot will depend on mentor availability, slot availability, and space within the group.

b       Unplanned Breaks

i        If no information about planned breaks is provided, or if the notification is delayed, the child will be marked as "Absent."

ii       In exceptional cases, the Program Coordinator will have the discretion to mark a child on “Break” instead of “Absent”. Such exception may in the nature of illness of the child or a family emergency. However, such exceptions will be considered on a case-by-case basis and at the discretion of the Programme Coordinator.

c       Difference between “Break” and “Absent” – When a child is marked on "Break", the session will not be counted towards the total sessions under the subscription. However, if marked as "Absent", the session will be counted.

d       No separate or make-up sessions – VivlioSyn will not schedule separate or make-up sessions for children marked on "Break" or as "Absent". Books for missed sessions will be returned, and if a session is scheduled for the same book in the future, it will be delivered again.

        12.  Maximum Completion Time - The maximum time allowed for the completion of all sessions under a subscription is 5 months for quarterly, 8 months for half-yearly, and 15 months for annual subscriptions. Sessions pending after the Maximum Completion Time will be considered lapsed.
